- 800 grams turkey stew meat
- 500 gram carrots (young)
- 2 packs spring onions
- 2 tbs honey
- 8 tsp cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp chopped thyme
- 2 leaves of laurel
- 4 apples (jonagold)
- brown /beef fond (bouillon)
- ½ tbs butter
- 2 tbs flour
- pepper and salt
Brown the meat in some butter, add the honey and cover with flour.
Extinguish with the vinegar and add the meat bouillon, thyme, laurel, pepper and salt.
Cut the carrots and spring onions in thin slices and add them to the meat.
Simmer on the stove until cooked (soft).
Cut the uncooked apples in cubes and add them at the end.
Let simmer for another few minutes and if necessary, thicken the sauce. You can thicken by taking out some of the juice, add some flour and blend well. Add this mixture to the stew.
This is one of my favorite dishes!! You should try it.
You can freeze this for later. No need to adjust the recipe.
